Lakshya Portal Not Working? Login Problems & Fixes (FAQ)

Wrong credentials, page not loading, stream wrong, transferred schools — fixes for the most common Lakshya Portal login and test problems.

Lakshya Portal Not Working? Login Problems & Fixes (FAQ)

Almost every Lakshya Portal problem has a boring, fixable cause. This FAQ collects the issues students actually report — wrong credentials, pages that won't load, tests that vanish — with the fix for each. Work through them in order before assuming your account is broken.

Login problems

"My User ID and password are correct, but login fails."
First, verify against the credentials sheet from your Regional Lakshya Coordinator — don't trust memory. Class 12 uses Class X roll number or APAAR ID; Class 11 uses roll number or PEN. Mixing these up is the #1 cause. Then check the date-of-birth format (usually DDMMYYYY). The login guide covers the exact field formats.

"The page loads but nothing happens when I submit."
Clear your browser's cache, refresh the page, and log in again. If it persists, try a different browser — and check your device's date, time and time zone settings, which cause silent login failures when wrong.

"I never received any credentials."
You can't generate them yourself — see how registration works. Ask your school's Lakshya coordinator to confirm your details were sent to the Regional Lakshya Coordinator.

Account and data problems

"My stream is wrong on the dashboard."
Contact your Regional Lakshya Coordinator immediately with the correction. It reflects right away — just refresh or log in again.

"I transferred to another JNV and can't see my school."
Share your full details (name, APAAR ID/roll number, class, stream, old JNV, new JNV) with your Regional Lakshya Coordinator. Mapping usually completes within 24 hours of verification.

"A TC (transfer certificate) case is messing up my test list."
Your school coordinator can flag it to the Regional Lakshya Coordinator; the TC case is removed from the student list and test data updates within 24 hours.

Test problems

"I got logged out during the test."
Log back in, click Resume Test, and submit before the window closes. Progress is saved — but the window won't wait for you.

"I submitted but I'm not sure it went through."
A submission confirmation message appears on screen after a successful submit. No message = not submitted. Try again before the window closes.

"Can I change the test language?"
No — the language of the test questions cannot be changed.

"Where's my report?"
Home Page → Test Details → View Report — score, analysis, subject-wise performance, solutions. Details in our test guide.

"Can I retake a monthly test?"
No. One attempt per Monthly Lakshya Test, no exceptions.

Still stuck? Who to contact

For anything the above doesn't fix: take a screenshot of the error and contact your Regional Lakshya Coordinator first — most issues are data problems only they can fix. For portal-level issues, the official helpdesk is [email protected] and +91-9220339639 (10am–6pm), as published on the portal's help page.
